SPC Construction welcomed its 2026 Summer Intern Class this week with an engaging and informative orientation at our New Jersey headquarters, marking the beginning of a hands-on learning experience designed to develop the next generation of construction and engineering professionals.
This year’s intern class includes students representing a variety of academic disciplines and career interests, with opportunities in both corporate and field-based roles. Throughout the summer, they will gain valuable exposure to the heavy civil construction industry, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to some of the region’s most complex and impactful infrastructure projects.
The orientation provided interns with an introduction to SPC’s operations, safety, culture, and commitment to excellence. Members of the leadership team shared insights into their career journeys, the challenges and opportunities within the industry, and the important role SPC plays in delivering critical infrastructure that strengthens communities where we live and work.
Hearing from the Estimating Team, interns also learned about the full lifecycle of a construction project and the processes that take a job from pre-bid to completion.
